ISA Communication 188 - ISA AFSC 2026 Qualification Scores Synchronized Skating Page 1 of 2 ISA AFSC 2026 Qualification Scores Synchronized Skating Date Approved: June 2026 Effective Start Date: 1 January 2026 ___________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Purpose of the Communication Each year, AFSC qualifying scores for Synchronized teams are reviewed and, where necessary, revised and published at the commencement of each new season. This Communication advises the qualifying Combined Total Elements Score (CTES) or Total Elements Score (TES) required for the Australian Figure Skating Championships 2026 (AFSC), outlines the reserve selection process, and clarifies ISA Member requirements for submitting nominations and reserve lists. 2. Application of the Communication All prospective AFSC teams must achieve the required minimum CTES/TES as specified in this communication for their respective category in order to be nominated by their ISA Member for AFSC 2026. The minimum CTES/TES may be achieved at Champ Series events, ISA Member Championships, international events, or any event whereby the judging panel and technical panel include a minimum of one (1) nationally qualified judge and one (1) nationally qualified technical specialist or technical controller for the discipline and category. Scores can only be earned between 1 January 2026 and prior to the close of AFSC 2026 entries OR earlier if your home state/territory has specific qualification or nomination policies and timelines for AFSC. PLEASE NOTE: The scores listed in the following table may be subject to change due to future ISU Communications relating to seasonal elements, scale of values or technical element rule changes for the 2026/2027 season. Where ISU changes are adopted by ISA, ISA may elect to retain or amend the scores outlined in this Communication. Any changes will be published via an updated Communication. 3. Communication Details Where a category consists of two segments (Short Program and Free Skating), the Total Elements Score for each segment used in the CTES may be achieved at different competitions. ISA Members are responsible for ensuring compliance with the qualifying score requirements and must not nominate teams who have not achieved the required minimum CTES/TES. For transparency, ISA Members are required as part of the AFSC entry process, to declare the event(s) at which the team achieved the qualifying score(s). ISA Communication 188
