Compare programmes with similar purposes, then inspect their stages and requirements. Similar content does not mean the tests have the same difficulty or that one qualification transfers to another country.

Follow source links to check the original context. Where saved documents are available, you can read them here. Documents keep their dates; translations may be working translations rather than official wording.

This is a growing collection, not every requirement from every country. Missing results can mean missing or untranslated evidence, not that a skill is absent from a country’s programme. Read the coverage notes before drawing conclusions.

Skate Canada Virtual Assessments – Evaluator Reference Guide August 2024 Copyright © 2024 Skate Canada 9 The Virtual Assessment Day All virtual assessments are conducted in a “live” virtual format, with the evaluator watching the skater perform in real time through the online meeting platform. The virtual assessment day will proceed as follows: • Log on time: As identified on the schedule, the log on time is always 15 minutes before the first warm-up. Should any participants fail to log on at the scheduled time, the service technician is responsible to locate those who are missing and inquire/troubleshoot any issues related to connecting to the platform. • Audio/video check: The service technician will lead the participants through a visual and audio sound check. The service technician will then turn off their camera and mute their mic, handing off the meeting to the evaluator. The service technician will remain on the call for the duration of the assessment day to assist with technology related issues that may arise during the assessment day. The evaluator will have their camera and mic on, along with the videographer (camera) and any other device(s) capturing the music (audio). • Assessments: The evaluator will direct the assessment day as per the schedule, including conversations with the coach(es) and skater(s). This includes: o Introductions o Instructions o Draws o Feedback and result delivery o Changes to the schedule to keep on time. • Result Delivery: The evaluator must ensure that all results are delivered verbally to each skater before the end of the assessment day. • Conclusion: the service technician will turn their camera and mic back on. They will confirm with the club/skating school that the assessment sheets will be completed and sent back within 48 hours. The service technician will then thank everyone for participating in the virtual assessment day and close the meeting. Post Assessment Day • Final assessment sheets: The evaluator will ensure the completed assessment sheets (PDFs) are sent electronically to the club or skating school within 48 hours of the conclusion of the virtual assessment day. Both the front and back of the assessment sheets must be provided. The process for providing these documents back to the club/skating school may vary based on the section. • Result submission: As with any other assessment day, all results will be submitted to Skate Canada, by the club or skating school. Confidentiality Agreement The virtual environment is a confidential space where participants are privy to information that would otherwise remain private. By participating in a virtual assessment day, all participants agree to keep confidential any conversations, information and outcomes shared within the virtual environment.
