Start with a country, a beginner programme or an element. Open a level to read its collected requirements. Expand programme stages to see the exercises inside.

Compare programmes with similar purposes, then inspect their stages and requirements. Similar content does not mean the tests have the same difficulty or that one qualification transfers to another country.

Follow source links to check the original context. Where saved documents are available, you can read them here. Documents keep their dates; translations may be working translations rather than official wording.

This is a growing collection, not every requirement from every country. Missing results can mean missing or untranslated evidence, not that a skill is absent from a country’s programme. Read the coverage notes before drawing conclusions.

Skate Canada Virtual Assessments – Club & Skating School Coach Reference Guide August 2024 Copyright © 2024 Skate Canada 8 • Have music available to play while skaters are on the ice to test video and audio quality at the same time (for assessment days with Freeskate or Artistic programs and/or Dances). Clubs and skating schools are encouraged to complete their own technology check prior to the scheduled tech check. To support a successful tech check: • Identify a strong and stable internet connection to minimize any potential issues during the live assessments. • Pause any downloads, or uploads to free up bandwidth for all devices in use. • Complete an internet speed test: An internet speed test can be completed at speedtest.net or through a mobile app. Speed tests are a snapshot in time and are not reflective of consistent connectivity. Internet speeds are affected by many variables. o Ideal speed rates are: 10 megabits/second for downloads, and 5 megabits/second for uploads. • Ensure all necessary apps or devices are up to date. • If possible, secure access to a private/secure wi-fi. Logistics • If using more than once device (for example, one for capturing video and one to capture audio), one individual per device is essential. o Assign the camera role to an individual who is familiar with skating including knowledge of dance patterns, Freeskate/Artistic programs, knowledge of elements and turns and what needs to be captured for accurate assessment, etc. • Skaters will be introduced to the evaluator on camera; therefore, the camera/sound location needs to be accessible to the skater for communication purposes. The skaters will receive direct feedback through this method as well. • Identify a camera location that is central, accessible from the ice and can view all corners of the ice for Dance patterns and Freeskate and Artistic programs. Centre ice in the players’ box is the preferred location. • Online meeting platforms: Please ensure all devices have the most up-to-date version of the platform being used. A separate meeting link will be sent for both the tech check and the assessment day. Be sure to have the designated platform’s app downloaded onto all devices that will be joining the meeting. Common platforms include: o Microsoft Teams o Zoom o Google Meet Check with your Section to determine the most appropriate platform. • If possible, for the duration of the assessment day, ask individuals in the facility to refrain from using the internet. Note: Clubs and skating schools should ensure they have a minimum of two adults on-site to assist with the virtual assessment day.
