Compare programmes with similar purposes, then inspect their stages and requirements. Similar content does not mean the tests have the same difficulty or that one qualification transfers to another country.

Follow source links to check the original context. Where saved documents are available, you can read them here. Documents keep their dates; translations may be working translations rather than official wording.

SECTION 2 – TESTS (PART D - ICE DANCE and SOLO ICE DANCE) Ice Skating Australia By-Laws Last Updated: September 2025 Page 8 of 9 By-Law 271 PRELIMINARY SOLO ICE DANCE TEST Candidates attempting this test must have passed: • Preliminary Pattern Skills Test, or • Had overseas equivalency granted. a) (7) Dutch Waltz b) (29) Tango Canasta The same number of sequences and steps as specified for each Pattern Dance in the most recent International Solo Ice Dance Competition Guidelines published by the ISU. By-Law 272 ELEMENTARY SOLO ICE DANCE TEST Candidates attempting this test must have passed at least one of the following tests: - • Preliminary Solo Ice Dance Test, or • Preliminary Pattern Dance (Recreational) Test, or • Elementary Pattern Skills Test, or • Had overseas equivalency granted. Candidates must choose any two of the following pattern dances to be tested at the same test session. One dance only may be re-skated at the Judges’ discretion. a) (6) Swing Dance b) (28) Tango Fiesta c) (33) Rhythm Blues The same number of sequences and steps as specified for each Pattern Dance in the most recent International Solo Ice Dance Competition Guidelines published by the ISU. By-Law 273 BASIC NOVICE SOLO ICE DANCE TEST Candidates attempting this test must have passed at least one of the following tests: - • Elementary Solo Ice Dance Test, or • Elementary Pattern Dance (Recreational) Test, or • Basic Novice Pattern Skills Test, or • Had overseas equivalency granted. The same number of pattern dances, sequences and steps in the most recent International Solo Ice Dance Competition Guidelines published by the ISU for Basic Novice Solo Pattern Dance for the current or next season. By-Law 274 INTERMEDIATE NOVICE SOLO ICE DANCE TEST Candidates attempting this test must have passed at least one of the following tests: - • Basic Novice Solo Ice Dance Test, or
