This is a growing collection, not every requirement from every country. Missing results can mean missing or untranslated evidence, not that a skill is absent from a country’s programme. Read the coverage notes before drawing conclusions.

Free Dance Test Requirements 1. Warm up duration: a. National 1-6 and Basic Novice to Intermediate Novice inclusive = 3 minutes. b. National 7- Gold Star and Advanced Novice to Senior inclusive = 5 minutes. 2. Each Free Dance test will be assessed by the Judge(s) using GOE and Components. The Components used to assess the test will be Skating Skills, Presentation and Composition. Each element performed will be assessed with a separate GOE. The Component score will be assessed on the overall test. 3. The skater must advise the judges, at the start of the test, the order of the required elements they intend to perform. 4. For National FD 4-8, a skater may opt to skate a program using the immediately preceding season’s rules at a test session within the first 2 months’ of the new season commencing. For example, a skater may use the 2023-2024 criteria in a test taken up to and including the 1st September 2024. The skater must inform the BIS office when making the test application if this is the case. 5. If a skater does not include all of the required elements, as per the criteria below, ISU criteria or BIS solo dance criteria (as appropriate), the outcome of the test shall be a retry. Page 7
