Start with a country, a beginner programme or an element. Open a level to read its collected requirements. Expand programme stages to see the exercises inside.

Try double Axel or three turn in the search box. Results show available definitions and matching evidence; not every question can be answered from the collection.

Compare programmes with similar purposes, then inspect their stages and requirements. Similar content does not mean the tests have the same difficulty or that one qualification transfers to another country.

Follow source links to check the original context. Where saved documents are available, you can read them here. Documents keep their dates; translations may be working translations rather than official wording.

This is a growing collection, not every requirement from every country. Missing results can mean missing or untranslated evidence, not that a skill is absent from a country’s programme. Read the coverage notes before drawing conclusions.

Skate Canada Virtual Assessments – Evaluator Reference Guide August 2024 Copyright © 2024 Skate Canada 22 Feedback Strategies As previously mentioned, results and feedback must be delivered to the skaters during the virtual assessment day. Evaluators will work with the videographer or coaches to determine the best times for the delivery of feedback and results. The following are strategies to facilitate delivery of feedback and results: - Deliver feedback and results during warm-up periods. - Hold feedback until scheduled breaks or the end of the assessment day. o Note: Feedback may be given at an alternate location (dressing room, lobby, etc) upon the completion of the assessment day. - Deliver feedback and results for all assessments at the same time to skaters who completed multiple assessments. - Be mindful of the environment in which the feedback is being delivered as others may be able to hear these conversations. - Confirm the result clearly: pass or re-try. - Provide a brief overview of positive aspects and aspects identified for continued improvement. - If feedback is directed to the coach, ensure they are present. Evaluators can reference resources to provide coaches the rationale as it relates to the standards, (e.g., STAR 6-Gold Assessment Resource Guides). Evaluators can also reference videos on the STAR 6 – Gold standard video library (posted on the Skating Development Video Library) and the STAR 6 – Gold online training (all disciplines). Common Troubleshooting Strategies While the service technician will be present to support any technology issues, with experience evaluators will become familiar with common issues and how to resolve them. To preserve the flow of the assessment day, evaluators may choose to attempt to resolve any issues before calling on the service technician for support. The following are a few common strategies that may assist in any given situation: - Video feed issues: o Video view is too small for the evaluator: The Evaluator can ‘pin’ the video feed to have it be displayed in full screen. In Microsoft Teams, this is done by right clicking on the desired video feed and selecting the pin option. o Video not clear: try asking if the device is being held in portrait or landscape. Landscape will often be recommended for the devices capturing video. Unpinning and pinning the video feed can also help resolve any video issues. - Audio feed issues: o Music is faint: ask if the music can be turned up. Evaluators must ensure they have a good quality headset plugged into their device. - Video and audio issues: If one device is solely being used to capture the audio and video, it is most often best to ask to have two devices used to help with the quality of both. This is done by having another device log into the meeting. The first device will then be muted and only used to capture video while the second device will capture the audio, keep its’ camera off. - Connection issues: Turning off the evaluator’s video may increase the quality of the video feed when the skater is performing. - Glitches: Signing out and signing back into the meeting may flush out any glitches.
